As well as offering Peatfire Tales evenings, which offer an insight into Orkney Folklore, John and Lynn and now proud to offer Guided Walks through Stromness. Stromness is a waterfront town with a rich history.

Two walks are offered - the Stromness Town Walk, begins at Stromness Ferry Terminal and walks through the main street. Subjects covered include - the history of the town, Stromness's connection with Hudson's Bay, local characters of the past and much more.

The Guided Coastal Walk, begins at Stromness Museum and walks out of the town, along the West Shore to Ness Battery. Subjects overed include the Wartime Heritage of Stromness, the natural history of the coastline and the wartime history of Scapa Flow.

All walks are suitable for those of a reasonably fit condition, and we are happy to adapt our tours for those with specific interests. All guided walks are reasonably priced, and we offer concessions for groups.

John and Lynn are qualified yellow badge Scottish Tour Guides and we hope that our enthusiasm for Stromness, a distinctive town with character and beauty, shines through!
