Seafari Adventures - High Speed Boat Trips

Boat Tour

Newhaven Harbour (near Britannia), Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH6 4TX

Seafari Adventures operate from Newhaven Harbour on Edinburgh's Waterfront and also from North Berwick where we run trips out to see the world famous Bass Rock with its 150,000 Gannets is a sight not to be missed

A unique combination of high adventure, pure exhilaration and the thrill of close encounters with some of Scotland's sea life. Our powerful twin engine craft can cruise at over 40 knots in suitable conditions as we whisk you out to some of the inner islands of the Forth.

You'll see Grey and Common Seals, many Seabirds including the comical little Puffin and even occasional sightings of dolphins or minke whales - all within sight of the city! Trips are approximately 1hour duration. On board live commentary tells of the castles, lighthouses, shipwrecks and island fortifications which are all part of rich history of Edinburgh's Seaway.

On some trips there is the option to land on Inchcolm, the beautiful island known as the 'Iona of the East' and to explore its famous 12th century Abbey. The landing option incurs an additional charge of £4 per head.

The vessel and crew are fully licensed and safety certified to the stringent standards of the MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency). Fully fitted with all safety equipment including a life raft. Life Jackets are provided and must be worn. We also provide waterproof trousers and cagoules and we recommend you bring a warm fleece to wear underneath. In sunny weather protective cream and sunglasses are recommended as rays can reflect from the sea surface. Minimum age 8 years.
