    Join the seafari with Sea.fari Adventures. Seafari are Oban's original VisitScotland 4* Wildlife Experience operating a fleet of powerful RIB (Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boats) from their base at easdale, 16 miles south on Oban. View Argyll's magnificent wildlife and coastal scenery.

    The Corryvreckan Wildlife Tour is our most popular tour. Visit The Gulf of Corryvreckan, home of the World's Third Largest Whirlpool. Wildlife includes (depending on season) Porpoise, Dolphins, Whales, Basking Shark, Atlantic Grey Seals, Common Seals, Otter, White Tailed Sea Eagle, Golden eagle, Gannets, Guillemots and a host of other seabirds and raptors. Red deer, Fallow deer and Goats are seen on the islands. Our informative wildlife guide/crew offers an interactive commentary on all wildlife, history and folklore.

    Whirlpool Specials - These tours are timed to see the Whirlpool in full flow during Spring Tides. Whirlpools are more clearly defined when the tide flows east. (ebb tide) These trips occur perhaps 20 times a year so please see our website for dates and times of departure.

    Whale Watching Tours.

    The area is a rich feeding ground for Minke Whale (and basking shark). As a responsible wildife operator we will not offer whalewatching tours unless we have been seeing whales in the area. Please ask our staff when we last saw whales before deciding to book. In general the tour includes a visit to the whale feeding grounds west of the Gulf of Corryvreckan and further out to sea south of the Garvellach Islands.

    Iona and Staffa Day Tour - departs 0945

    Iona is just 75 minutes travel time from Easdale. Spend 2.5 hours ashore on Iona arriving before the crowds. Visit the Abbey and Nunnery as well as the wonderful sandy beaches. Depart Iona 2.15pm and head to Staffa viewing Fingal's Cave and the Basalt columns before heading back to easdale via Carsaig Arches. Return Easdale circa 1630.

Seafari Marine Services are Northern Lighthouse Board's contracted boat transport suppliers. Our skippers have an unparallelled knowledge of 'remote locations and landing spots'

    Road Directions

    We operate from the picturesque conservation village of Easdale. Follow the A816 south from Oban (for about 8 miles) or north from Lochgilphead (for about 26 miles) and turn right or left onto the B844. Follow the brown "Seafari" tourist signs over the famous "Bridge over the Atlantic"onto the Island of Seil. Keep following the brown "Seafari" signs untill you reach Easdale. Satnav postcode is PA34 4TB.

    Public Transport Directions

    Public Transport - West Coast Motors Service 418 operates between Oban and Easdale 5 times a day (except Sunday) Make sure you disembark at Easdale (look out for the village square with a crane in the centre)

    Alternatively catch the morning Oban open top bus tour, get off at easdale for your boat tour. Return to Oban on the afternoon Open bus tour service. Please ask the bus driver for details
