We offer guided small-group day walks in some of the most beautiful and remote parts of the Shetland Isles.

From guided tours of the seabird cities at Hermaness and Sumburgh Head to stunning wilderness walks on Ronas Hill or Muckle Roe, all of our walks are geared towards making the most of your time on Shetland.

We have a weekly programme of day walks, where we take you to a different part of Shetland each day:

• Monday - North Isles of Unst, Fetlar & Yell
• Tuesday - South Mainland - we often go to St. Ninian's Isle, or Sumburgh Head
• Wednesday - Westside, walking at Sandness Hill, Culswick, or Silwick
• Thursday - Central Mainland, discovering Muckle Roe, Lunna Ness, or Nesting
• Friday - Northmavine, climbing Ronas Hill, or having a coastal walk at Eshaness or Fethaland

We also have occasional trips to some more far-flung islands, or do something a little out of the ordinary:

• Papa Stour
• Out Skerries
• Vaila
• Vementry
• Whalsay
• Or climb Ronas Hill at night to enjoy the Simmer Dim!

Our Wild Walks cost £75/ person for walks on Mainland Shetland, and £85/ person for walks on the islands, and for our Special Adventures the price varies, so check the website!

We also a offer a private guiding service.

The owner of the Shetland Walking and Wildlife is Graham Uney, one of the most respected mountain walking instructors in Scotland. He's also a well-published author, with 15 books to his name, including the Cicerone Press guide 'Walking in the Orkney and Shetland Isles'. Graham is also a keen naturalist and bird ringer, and has worked for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, and the British Trust for Ornithology. He lives in Shetland with his wife Olivia.
