Strathspey Steam Railway

Railways Tour

Aviemore Station, Dalfaber Road, Aviemore, Inverness-shire, PH22 1PY

Enjoy a scenic trip like no other through the Scottish Highlands as you steam from Aviemore, Boat of Garten and Broomhill on one of our special steam engines.

Located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Strathspey Steam Railway takes you on a stunning, vintage trip through the Cairngorms National Park.

Step on board our very special steam engines, one of which dates back to 1899, and another was a high profile engine during World War 2.

Enjoy stunning views of the Cairngorm Mountains, with fine views of the River Spey and heather moore as you travel between Aviemore, Boat of Garten and Broomhill.

As well as enjoying a vintage 90 minute trip, there's plenty of other activities on offer. We have Special Events throughout the year, including our Teddy Bear weekend and Santa Express, we have teamed up with the Boat of Garten Park Ranger to offer free guided walks, we have whisky tastings on board, a 'Paddle, Puffer and Pint' experience and we're taking part in The Great Railway Treasure Hunt 2013 with much much more available.

Or why not enjoy a special meal on board. Light Lunch, Afternoon Tea (to book, visit our website www.strathspeyrailway.co.uk or call Strathspey Railway on 01479 810725) and full three course Evening Meals and Sunday Lunches (to book call Cairngorms Hotel on 0800 085 7273) are all served while you enjoy your trip through the Highlands. Booking is essential.
