Discover the ‘Glasgow Style’ as our award-winning student guides journey through the art, architecture and design that shaped the city during this thriving industrial period in Glasgow, the “Second city of the British Empire”.
Explore this time of breathtaking growth and change, and discover the influence of a small group of GSA trained artists & designers who developed the radical, romantic “Glasgow Style”, creating a lasting impact celebrated the world over.
Explore the ‘Glasgow Miracle’: 2.15pm – 5pm
Journey to the places, spaces & artworks installed in the city that tell the story of creative regeneration in post industrial Glasgow.
Allow our award-winning student guides to reveal Glasgow's hidden arts scene as they uncover the remarkable creative regeneration of Glasgow - a phenomenon termed by Swiss curator Hans Ulrich Obrist as "The Glasgow Miracle".
Tours depart from The Glasgow School of Art Shop & Visitor Centre every Wed – Sat from 7th July 2012.
