    Road Directions

Park on Shore street - the first bigger road in Ullapool on your left that goes along the side of the beach as you come into village from the Inverness direction. The kiosk is further up the street by the pier on the left. Alternatively follow parking signs to the car park in the centre of the village and then make way to pier.

    Public Transport Directions

From the nearest information centre:- Turn right out of the tourist office in Ullapool and make your way to the first road junction, turn left onto quay street. Walk down to the pier at the bottom and look for the Ullapool Tours kiosk. The kiosk is seasonal but the tours are all year, feel free to phone or email if the kiosk is not there or occupied.

Getting there by railway:- There are good links to Inverness where I can start your tour from by prior arrangement if desired. There is no train line to Ullapool so travel onward from Inverness to Ullapool requires a bus trip, available from Inverness bus station. I personally usually get good rail travel rates at ww.raileasy.co.uk and book ahead.

Getting there by aeroplane:- Inverness airport is only one and a half hours away by road, has good links with the rest of the country, and other countries such as Ireland and Germany though they can sometimes be seasonal so check at http://www.hial.co.uk/inverness-airport

Getting there by ferry:- There are regular ferries from Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. Why not combine a stay in Ullapool with a trip through the Isle of Skye where you can also catch a ferry to Harris and Lewis, and from there (after a bus or taxi trip) another ferry to Ullapool. See http://www.calmac.co.uk/
