    Tour Itinerary:
    Day 1
    We head north through stunning scenery, castles and whisky country, stopping at the ancient university town of St Andrews and home of golf. On to Aberdeen to board the ferry. (Overnight: Ferry)

    Day 2
    Time to explore Shetland and its stunning scenery before getting into the spirit for the main event with some celebrations in town with the locals. (Overnight: Lerwick)

    Day 3
    The big day! A procession of flaming torch bearing Vikings makes its way through the streets culminating in the ceremonial burning of a full size replica Viking Long Ship. (Overnight: Lerwick)

    Day 4
    After a leisurely breakfast, we venture north taking in the ancient Tynwald Parliament and explore the northern area of the Island before returning on the overnight ferry back to Scotland (as Shetlanders refer to the mainland). (Overnight: Ferry)

    Day 5
    We will pass Crathie Kirk where the Royal Family worship when at their Highland residence. We also visit the resting place of John Brown, ghillie to Queen Victoria and made famous in the movie starring Billy Connolly. We then make our way through the mountains and Royal Braemar before arriving back to Edinburgh at approx 17.00.

    The World Famous Torchlight Processsion has around one thousand torch bearing guizers in full Viking uniform march through the streets with the Galley and past the spectators. The town is in darkness as the streetlights are switched off, the red glow at ‘light up’ is truly a phenomenal sight.
