The pretty village of Arden is situated on the south east shore of Loch Lomond.
Located on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, Arden is an ideal location for a tranquil and romantic getaway. There is a wide range of beautiful woodland walks around the village and for those looking to explore further afield, a ferry service operates between Arden and Inchmurrin Island.
The village boasts an old royal hunting estate, Auchendennan House. This once grand country house comes complete with turrets, stained glass windows and its very own ghost. The nearby Lomond Castle provides luxury accommodation with arguably some of the best views of the Loch Lomond.
There are a number of heritage sites near the village including burial urns from the Bronze Age, an Iron Age settlement and an early Christian burial. To the west of Arden visitors can explore the ruins of a 16th century tower house, Bannachra Castle.
