Getting there by railway:- Exit Barassie Railway station, turn left onto Hillhouse Road. This leads straight to the north end of Barassie beach.

Getting there by aeroplane:- At the mini-roundabout at the exit of Glasgow Prestwick International Airport take the 3rd exit onto the A79 northbound. After less than one mile, take the 1st exit of the roundabout. The A79 continues. After approximately ½ mile take the 1st exit off the Monktonhall roundabout onto the A78 (signposted Irvine and Greenock). Take the first exit off the A78 signposted Loans and Troon. On arriving at Loans, take the first exit from the mini-roundabout (signposted Troon) onto the B759, Troon Road which continues onto Dundonald Road. After the road bends sharply to the left into Portland Street, take the first right (signposted Barassie). This takes you to North Shore Road and Barassie Beach.

Getting there by ferry:- From Troon Harbour Road at next two roundabouts, follow sign for all routes, A77and A78. Barassie Beach is on your left.
