Buckie

Overview

Buckie is a fishing town on the Moray coast with great scenery and wildlife.

Buckie has a busy harbour with a large fishing fleet, fish market and boatbuilding yards. The surrounding coast is interesting, especially the stunning Bow and Fiddle rock formations near Portknockie to the north-east of Buckie. Wildlife includes dolphins, which can be seen from the beach at the mouth of Spey - also a good spot for observing otters and ospreys. Long-distance footpath the Speyside Way starts (or finishes) here.
