    The small but lively village of Carrbridge, surrounded by spectacular scenery, sits at the northern gateway to the Cairngorms National Park.

    Situated at the heart of the Scottish Highlands, the village is a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside in both summer and winter seasons and offers a truly memorable Highland experience. Some spectacular forest, moorland and mountains surround the town as well as a great network of paths and tracks leading out of the village and offering fine views, a rich local history and abundant wildlife including Scottish crossbills, crested tits and red squirrels.

    The village is renowned for its traditional and contemporary music and eclectic programme of events including the annual Carrbridge Live art and music festival, the Carrbridge Gathering and Scottish Open Chainsaw Carving Championship and the World Porridge Making Championship.

    For those wishing to explore further, Aviemore is 7 miles south and Inverness is around 25 miles north.

    There is a wide selection of accommodation to suit every taste and budget ranging from hotels, guest houses, B&Bs, self-catering properties, hostels and bunkhouses. The village also has its own golf course, bowling green and pony trekking centre while there is also a wealth of tourist attractions and outdoor activities right on the doorstep including walking, climbing, mountain biking, birdwatching, pony and quad bike trekking, watersports, golf and skiing and snowboarding.
