Catrine is a picturesque village in East Ayrshire 2 miles south east of Mauchline.
Nestled in a secluded valley in beautiful Ayrshire countryside with the River Ayr flowing through its heart, the town offers great fishing in season.
Although now it is a sleepy byway, the town was previously well-known for its extensive cotton mills at the forefront of 19th century technology.
