Coldingham Sands is a sheltered sandy beach at the mouth of the Buskin Burn, on the coast of the Scottish Borders.
This beautiful award-winning Blue Flag beach stretches for a kilometre within Coldingham Bay. There is a rocky shore at either end of the beach. It is situated within the St Abbs and Eyemouth Voluntary Marine Reserve and hermit crabs can be seen in the rock pools. There are many paths around the surrounding coastline which provide excellent views of the beach. Coastal grassland on the beach supports flowers such as restharrow and butterflies such as the small copper. It is close to St Abbs village and harbour. Thousands of cliff nesting birds can be seen at the nearby St Abbs Head Nature Reserve. Lifeguards patrol this beach at weekends in June, and seven days a week from 30th June - 8th September.
