Craigellachie / Archiestown

Towns & Villages

The small villages of Craigellachie and Archiestown lie at the very heart of Speyside.

This important stopping off point on the Speyside Way sits at the confluence of the sparkling waters of the River Fiddich and River Spey and is home to two malt whisky distilleries, Craigellachie and The Macallan, as well as the Speyside Cooperage. It is also a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside and the Malt Whisky Trail.

Archiestown is located 5 miles west of Craigellachie and is best known for the nearby distilleries including Cardhu, Tamdhu and Knockando.
