    Dolphinton is a picturesque village in rural South Lanarkshire with a history that dates back centuries.

    Dolphinton’s local manor belonged to Dolfine, elder brother of the first Earl of Dunbar, in the 12th century. At one time the village had two rail stations. Close by is Biggar which has more museums per head than any other town in Scotland.
