Set in the heart of Highlands close to Glencoe and Ben Nevis, Duror boasts spectacular scenery and a wealth of activities.
The village is located along one of the most scenic routes in Scotland on the beautiful west coast, running up the shores of Loch Creran and Loch Linnhe between Oban and Fort William, just north of Appin and south of Glencoe.
Boasting such a wonderful location, this small but thriving village is a fantastic spot for a family holiday and a great base for exploring the beauty of the surrounding countryside. Cuil Bay, with a sandy beach, interesting rock formations and a Stonehenge-type monolith, is just a short walk from the village and there are number of excellent walking paths in the immediate vicinity for both serious walkers and climbers as well as for leisurely strolls.
Other outdoor activities available include riding down the road at Lettershuna, sailing, water skiing and boat hire as well as golf at the attractive 9-hole golf course at the nearby Ballachulish, just a few minutes up the road.
