East Wemyss

    East Weymss is a village is the south east of Fife.

    Lying on the Firth of Forth, north east of Kirkcaldy, the village of East Wemyss takes its name from 'weems' or caves in the sandstone cliffs. East Wemyss was traditionally a mining village, like many others in the surrounding area.

    Fishing is popular, as is the ruins of nearby MacDuff Castle.
