Edinbane (Edinbain) is a quiet village situated at the head of Loch Greshornish on the north coast of the Isle of Skye.
The village is surrounded by wonderful scenery and is a perfect base from which to enjoy the wealth of interesting attractions in the neighbouring countryside. Whether it is active outdoor adventures by road or sea, the Cuillin Hills, or the culture and history in the local museums and castles, all are easily accessible from Edinbane and are just a short drive away.
The village is situated between two main villages - Dunvegan is 8 miles to the west with its famous Dunvegan Castle, and the island’s main town, Portree, is about 14 miles to the east.
The locally renowned Edinbane Pottery sells a range of quality handmade ceramics which are both modern and functional and are much sought after by visitors and islanders who appreciate the distinctive features and inspiration behind the work.
