Towns & Villages

Fortingall lies a few miles west of Aberfeldy.

This beautiful hamlet is home to the Fortingall Yew, thought to be around 5,000 years old and the oldest living thing on earth. The yew stands in the grounds of the parish church, which is thought to have a long history having been built on an early Christian site dedicated to the Bishop of Iona.  This lovely little church is open to visitors and worth a look!  There's also a Hotel next door open for meals.
