    Glentress Peel is located in the heart of the Tweed Valley Forest Park at Glentress.

    Glentress Peel is often described as the Gateway to Tweed Valley Forest Park. It is home to some of the world's top mountain biking trails, great walks and fantastic wildlife watching. Visitors can find out about all there is to see and do at the Tweed Valley Forest Park Gateway at Glentress Peel.

    Glentress Forest is one of the best mountain biking venues in the UK and the trails here have won a number of awards. There are also five lovely waymarked walking trails, covering over 25 miles (40 km), with views of the valley. The Tweed Valley Wild Watch offers visitors the opportunity to see wildlife such as buzzards and roe deer.

    Glentress also has a café and bike shop. Visitors can also explore the award-winning Go Ape high wire forest adventure.

    Bus number 62 from Edinburgh stops at the road end, from where there's a pedestrian bridge and path to Glentress Peel.
