Towns & Villages

Guardbridge is a village in the north east of Fife.

Situated at the head of the River Eden, south of Leuchars and north west of St Andrews, Guardbridge is home to the 15th century Old Guard Bridge. It is thought that in the past, pilgrims would assemble here to meet the guards who would then escort them to St Andrews.

A whisky distillery was founded here in 1810, later to be converted to a paper mill in 1873.
