Kenmore

Overview

Kenmore is a popular centre for activity holidays on Loch Tay in the central Highlands.

Kenmore is at the northern end of 14-mile long Loch Tay. It is a busy destination for activities on and around Loch Tay such as sailing, canoeing, water-skiing, jet-biking, or for the more leisurely, fishing.

The main attraction is the Scottish Crannog Centre, one of the country's top heritage museums. Crannogs are Iron Age thatched wooden houses built on stilts over the water, with a gangway that could be lifted up in the event of danger.
