Towns & Villages

Kilbarchan is a historic village in central Renfrewshire that is notable for its conservation area.

The village was once a centre of weaving and at one time there were 800 handlooms in Kilbarchan. Among the listed buildings in the conservation area is the Weaver’s cottage which has a display of looms and other weaving equipment. The village’s big annual event is Lilias Day, on the first Saturday in June, when hundreds watch the parade and join in the festivities.
