Towns & Villages

The village of Kilchoan on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula is the most westerly village in mainland Britain.

The appealing crofting township of Kilchoan overlooks the Sound of Mull on the south side of wild Ardnamurchan. In summer, a car ferry runs from here to Tobermory on Mull, while there are boat trips for wildlife-spotting and fishing. Operated by Caledonian MacBrayne, the service provides an alternative route into or out of the peninsula and opens up the possibility for touring the west Highlands and Mull.
