    Lower Largo is a coastal village in the East Neuk of Fife.

    An ancient fishing village, Lower Largo is located on the north side of the Firth of Forth. This is an attractive village with a wide variety of charming cottages, houses, a pretty harbour and beach.

    Andrew Selkirk, a Scottish sailor who spent four years as a castaway on an uninhabited island is said to have inspired Daniel Defoe’s fictional character Robinson Crusoe. A life size bronze statue of Selkirk can be found outside the site of the cottage where he was born.
