Machrihanish beach is a gorgeous and unique golden beach located next to Machrihanish Golf Club on the beautiful Mull of Kintyre Peninsular.
This blue flag award-winning beach is by the quiet village of Machrihanish just a few miles from the town of Campbeltown and is well-known for some of the best surfing in all of the UK. At this point the beach nestles alongside a dune system and backs onto Machrihanish Golf Course, boasting one of the finest first holes in the world of golf. This rural beach is hardly ever crowded and is an ideal spot for walking, relaxing, running and watching the sunset.
Take B843 from Campbeltown to Machrihanish village. Ample parking is available in the village. Access to the award beach is opposite the Machrihanish Golf Club Clubhouse, through a gate across a footpath that bisects the first fairway. Machrihanish village is part of the Kintyre Way Coastal path that runs from Tarbet to Campbeltown.
