Monifieth Sands is a sandy stretch of beach on the north shore of the Firth of Tay, stretching from Barnhill in the west to the Barry Sands in the east.
Monifieth Bay is a site of special scientific interest for wildfowl and wadering birds. Groynes and some rocks are exposed at low tide. Behind the beach there is an excellent play area for children and a skate board park.
