Beaches

    This superb sandy beach in the middle of Nairn is backed by low sand dunes and a promenade with an open, grassy links area.

    The  blue flag beach has beautiful views across the Moray Firth to the Black Isles and its coastline is home to a resident school of dolphins. There is also a great range of coastal walks in either direction with a nature reserve at Kingsteps in the east and a viewpoint to the west.

    In early July onwards the beach is supervised and first aid is provided. Outwith summer, the beach is equipped with rescue equipment and toilets are available.

    Public Transport Directions

    The beach is approximately half a mile from the train station and a quarter of a mile from the nearest bus station. The nearest town is Nairn.
