Towns & Villages

Newtonmore is a lovely village nestling in the upper reached of the Spey valley within the Cairngorms National Park.

This village is particularly popular with anglers and grouse hunters, and lies just 12 miles south of Aviemore.  There's a range of cycle and walking trails to explore and it's also perfect for pony-trekking.  Unique to the area is the Wild Cat Trail and Wild Cat Experience; great fun for all the family.

For visitors tracing their Highland ancestry, the Clan MacPherson Museum is a must!.
