    The settlement of Old Dailly is part of Dailly community along with New Dailly 6 miles east of Gitvan in south Ayrshire.

    The ruined 14th century church and the churchyard are the main feature of the parish. The church was once an important hub with several dwellings, a mill and a manse while the Old Dailly churchyard contains two Charter Stones, also known as Blue Stones, mentioned in Sir Walter Scott’s Lord of The Isles.
