This small, peaceful village on the Lyne Water lies three miles south of West Linton in the Scottish Borders.
There are country and woodland walks nearby, including a public footpath to Roman remains. The remains are just north of the village, by Lynne View can be seen from the road and are still recognisable as the medieval cultivation terraces that they once were.
Places nearby include West Linton Golf Club, The Pentland Hills Regional Park, Peebles, Biggar and Glentress Forest.
