    A traditional but homely eco-hostel situated in the remote wilderness of Rannoch Moor.

    Recently refurbished, Loch Ossian Youth Hostel's eco credentials include wind and solar power, grey water and dry toilet systems and even bat friendly paint!

    The youth hostel has a fully equipped self-catering kitchen but no fridge. Perishables can be kept cool in the north facing washrooms or in the loch! Drying is available on two overhead racks and boot stands by the fire. Although there are no showers, the wash rooms have hot water and towels are available for hire or purchase. Loch Ossian has a small shop with 'Beyond the Beaten Track' ready meals, a range of snacking essentials, postcards and sundries.

    Accommodation is only available in multi-share, but groups and families can book a dorm room for exclusive use. With stunning views of the lake

    Loch Ossian Youth Hostel is only accessible by rail, bike, or foot. Corrour railway station (West Highlands Glasgow to Fort William line). Loch Ossian Youth Hostel is a short, approximately 20 minute walk from the station along a well-made track.

    There is no vehicle access to the hostel or Corrour Station. Nearest road access is Rannoch Station or Tulloch. Reach the hostel by train or on foot only.

    Public Transport Directions

    From Fort William Tourist Information Centre, train to Corrour.

    Getting there by rail: The youth hostel is 1 mile walk east from Corrour Station on the Glasgow to Fort William line.

    There are also footpaths from Rannoch, Glen Nevis, Dalwhinnie, Fersit, Laggan and Kinlochleven.
