From whisky distilleries and castles to indoor activity centres, there is plenty to keep you occupied. Please note that opening times vary, so check them before you go.

Nevis Range

The Nevis Range is located near Fort William, known as the ‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’, so it's not surprising that there is plenty to do both on and off the slopes! Exhilarating activities which you can try range from rock climbing and abseiling to paintballing and segways.

There are many things to see and do near Glencoe Mountain, in Kinlochleven to the north there is an excellent range of indoor and outdoor activities at The Ice Factor, including indoor ice climbing.

The Lecht

It's possible to enjoy other activities within the area surrounding Lecht 2090, such as clay pigeon shooting and archery with Craggan Outdoors. From February and right through to December you can go trout fishing at Glen Tanar.

Whilst the mountains at Glenshee Ski Centre may be laden with snow, you may well find that golf courses on lower ground nearby will still be open and snow-free! The area around the resort offers great walking and indoor attractions to visit too.

Sports in the snow needn't be confined to the slopes at CairnGorm Mountain, why not try riding on horseback through white fields at Alvie Stables, or taking a ski tour through the forests with Full on Adventures?
