No matter what standard of skiing or snowboarding you’re after, Scotland boasts five wonderful ski centres that offer a range of magnificent runs. Depending on how you are feeling, you can choose from a wide array of green, blue, red and black runs which take you through some of Scotland’s finest mountains and will show you some breathtaking panoramic views along the way.
All five ski centres are within easy reach of the major cities and you can hire all the required equipment when you get there. Check out the Nevis Range, Glencoe Mountain, CairnGorm Mountain, The Lecht or Glenshee Ski Centre - each are unique and offer a different, yet equally outstanding snowsports experience.
If that wasn’t enough, even when the snow eventually disappears, you can still hit the slopes at one of Scotland’s many dry ski centres. Check out Snow Factor at Xscape in Glasgow which has over 1,700 tonnes of fresh snow each day on the indoor slope. What’s more, the Midlothian Snowsports Centre is home to the UK’s biggest artificial ski slope and is open all year round.
