On this trail you'll explore the history of the west coast, from the Lords of the Isles to the Clearances, while travelling from Loch Linnhe to the sound of Arisaig, taking in the Summer Isles near Ullapool and the island of Gigha off the Kintyre peninsula.
With 500 miles of cliffs, deserted beaches and sea caves, the spectacular coastline of the Orkney Islands is an excellent place for sea kayaking. With fast flowing tides as well as sheltered water, this archipelago offers paddling for all abilities. Remember to bring your camera as you’ll be taking your kayak out amongst whales, orcas and dolphins.
