For a fantastic family event, the Largs Viking Festival has battle re-enactments and living history displays which mark the end of Viking rule on Scotland’s west coast. The festival commemorates the Battle of Largs in 1263, the last skirmish between the Scots and the Norse, culminating in a grand Viking galley burning and firework display.
