Choose from the fantastic range of music, dance and theatre events in the Highlands and experience the rich culture of this inspiring region.

When exploring the Highlands, don’t miss the exciting music, dance and theatre events which are held throughout the year. Attend an epic music festival, catch a gig from a band or enjoy a theatre performance from a local, national or touring group.

The Highlands has become home to some of the country's most popular annual music festivals. RockNess routinely has a great line up of bands and where better to listen to the best live rock and pop than on the banks of Loch Ness?

The Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival is another major musical happening in the Highlands and this much-loved summer gathering near Beauly has quickly gained a reputation for being a very laidback and family-friendly festival.

Other great music festivals include the Caithness Country Music Festival in March and Speyfest, three days in July of traditional concerts and ceilidhs in the village of Fochabers, on the banks of the River Spey.

There's also the Blas Festival, an autumn celebration of Highland music and the Gaelic language, and Loopallu, a small but charming music festival which takes place in Ullapool in late September.

There are various Highland games in the region throughout the summer months and pantomimes over the festive period - there's always something going on in the Highlands.
