all ferry travel shown in the itinerary, based on two adults plus car. Quotations are available for any number of passengers.
two nights accommodation on Lewis, one night on Skye. If accommodation shown is unavailable on your chosen date, we will endeavour to substitute an equivalent alternative.
Example itinerary
Start your holiday from Ullapool, Mallaig or Kyle of Lochalsh. Note that Sunday sailings are not currently available to or from Lewis or Harris.
Day 1
By ferry from Ullapool to Stornoway. A morning sailing will allow time to begin your exploration of Lewis in the afternoon. Perhaps make a circular tour, taking in historical sites and areas of scenic interest. First night at your chosen hotel in Stornoway.
Day 2
A full day to relax and enjoy the laid back atmosphere. Maybe take a walk through wooded parkland, alongside tumbling waterfalls or shop for Harris Tweed at bargain prices. Alternatively, explore the spectacular coastline of South Harris, with its fabulous shell-sand beaches to the west. Second night in Stornoway.
Day 3
Cruise on the comfortable Calmac ferry from Harris to Skye, with time for an excursion, either before or after the crossing. Third night in Portree.
Day 4
Explore some of Skye’s majestic landscape, before returning to the mainland via the Skye bridge or by ferry (included) from Armadale to Mallaig.
