Depending on where you start your journey, you may be able to fly direct to one of Scotland's four international airports. If not, Scotland enjoys excellent links with all the major European airport hubs including London, Amsterdam, Paris, Reykjavik and Frankfurt which provide a plentiful supply of onward connections to this country.
Direct flights between North American cities and Glasgow and Edinburgh International airports are listed below. Many other major cities in the USA and Canada fly into the main European hubs which can be used for onward travel to Scotland.

There is only one direct route currently linking the Middle East and Scotland, operated by Emirates between Dubai and Glasgow.
At the moment, there are no direct flights to Scotland from Central and South America, Asia, Africa or Australasia.
Routes from these regions do connect with major European hubs such as London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Frankfurt am Maine, Amsterdam Schipol and Madrid Barajas airports. Scotland enjoys excellent links with these hubs so onward travel to Scotland is easy. Countries across Africa and Asia also have good access to Scotland via the key Middle Eastern hub of Dubai with its direct route to Glasgow.
Travelling to Scotland by ferry is also a popular option from a number of European countries. Direct routes to Scottish ports operate from Ireland, while ferries also run from the Netherlands to Hull in the north east of England, a few hours' drive from the Scottish border.
