Hiking through Scotland's Great Glen Way

In recent weeks we’ve featured a post here on the blog about a pair of Belgian tourists who walked one of Scotland’s other long distance routes (West Highland Way) and today we’d like to share a cool blog post from one of VisitBritain’s super bloggers, John Williams, who recently trekked through the Great Glen Way – a 117km long distance hike which follows the Great Glen, from Fort William to Inverness.

To tackle the Great Glen Way, John decided to take the path less traveled, by starting at Inverness – although he justifies this by being ‘rewarded with better views as the mountains get more dramatic as you walk towards Fort William‘.

With overnight stops at Drumnadrochit, Invermoriston, Fort Augustus, Invergarry, Gairlochy and Fort William, John documents his journey with some amazing photos, which instantly making you feel like you were
