The space
Our apartment is on the second floor of one of Edinburgh’s traditional tenement buildings. There’s a secure entry phone system and stunning views to the Royal Mile and Calton Hill.
The spacious, cosy interior is beautifully furnished and decorated in our individual style with a mix of new, vintage and up-cycled pieces. Expect all the comforts of a boutique hotel, with plenty of space to relax and plan your next Edinburgh adventure.
The living room features two traditional sash and case windows which bring in lots of natural light. There’s a smart TV with Netflix, WIFI, and a Bluetooth speaker. The kitchen is well-stocked with complimentary breakfast cereals, milk, tea and good coffee and you’ll find all the kit you need if you want to cook. The quiet, rear-facing bedroom has a comfy double bed, with Egyptian cotton sheets. The well-designed shower room has a powerful shower and we provide a full range of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and body lotion) and a good quality hairdryer, so you can travel light. Each guest gets a set of fluffy white towels.

Interaction with guests
Duncan and Daniela live close by and can be contacted before and during your stay. We will try our best to meet you on arrival so we can explain how everything works. We are both sociable and have lived in Edinburgh and Scotland for most of our lives so we are happy to offer tips.
We provide all of our guests with extensive recommendations based on our favourite places to eat, drink and visit in the city. Within the apartment are clear instructions for all appliances etc.
The neighbourhood
The location is hard to beat. St Mary’s Street is full of character, home to quirky independent shops, cafés and restaurants and right beside Edinburgh’s most famous Street - The Royal Mile. It’s just a short walk to all the main sights like Edinburgh Castle, Grassmarket, Palace of Holyrood, the Scottish Parliament, Princes Street and Arthur’s Seat. Waverley train station is a five minute walk away.
Getting around
The apartment is very central so walking to all of Edinburgh's main attractions is easy. Buses are regular and can take you anywhere in the City quickly. Taxis are easy to hail or call, from the airport a taxi will cost around £25. If you're driving there is metered parking directly in front of the apartment (£3 per hr) or there are several car parks closeby, the most reasonable is Waverley Station at £17 per 24hrs.
