Set in 13 acres of beautiful bluebell woodland, this boutique 5 gold star B&B combines complete privacy with easy access to Melrose and the River Tweed. Fauhope Country House has been renovated with great style and attention to detail, and offers luxurious home-from-home bed and breakfast accommodation with stunning views across to Sir Walter Scott's favourite vista - The Eildon Hills.

Your stay at Fauhope Country House begins with a warm welcome and a glass of sherry or a cup of tea and some homebaked goodies with the owners, Sheila and Ian Robson, before being shown to your bedroom. Once you've settled in, Sheila and Ian will do whatever they can to make your stay as relaxed and enjoyable as possible, so whether you need directions to Melrose or further afield, reservations for lunch or dinner made at one of the delightful local restaurants, taxis booked or something more obscure, follow their friendly house rule and ‘just ask’.

All the luxurious en-suite bedrooms are uniquely styled with a mixture of roll top baths and showers. First floor rooms benefit from views over the large private garden and the surrounding countryside, while the ground floor Garden Suite benefits from it's own seperate entrance, mini kitchen area with fridge, dressing room and large bathroom as well as a private garden with pond and sun loungers, perfect for a chilled glass of wine in the Summer sunshine.

In winter, the hallway is lit with tealights and soft uplighting, the fire roars and crackles in the drawing room and candles and foliage fill the house. In summer, Sheila's famous and fabulous floral displays take over the entrance hall and diffuse fragrance and colour throughout the house.

Breakfast is a hearty, Scottish Borders-inspired affair, with some sophisticated touches and local produce that make it a wonderful dining experience whether you are a hungry outdoor enthusiast, a business traveller or city-living gourmand.
