Welcome to Squirrel Apartment, a recently refurbished 2 bedroom self catering property in Speyside in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park - ideal for outdoor and nature lovers. Our cosy and comfortable recently renovated apartment sleeps four, so is ideal for couples or families who are looking to explore the area, take part in the numerous activities available locally, or simply relax and enjoy the beautiful Scots Pine forests that surround us.
Squirrel has two bedrooms (double and twin), fully fitted kitchen, family bathroom and large living/dining room with French doors onto its own elevated private fenced garden , well above the Dulnain River.
The apartment is attached and behind a family house and has its own private entrance and parking. It is warm and cosy due to the gas central heating and double glazing and there is plenty of hot water on demand. Wifi is available.
All towels and linens are provided and electricity is included within the cost of the rental. We aim to care for the environment and use appropriate cleaning products where possible plus degradable bin liners. Our EPC rating is E.
COVID19 - We allow 78 hours in between guests and follow government and industry guidance for cleaning and disinfection to ensure that the risk of infection is minimised.
Carrbridge is a small village set amongst Scots Pine woodland in the Cairngorms National Park, a great place for outdoor adventures. Carrbridge hosts one of many scenic golf courses in the area, the Rivers Spey and Dulnain are well known for their Salmon fishing and Cairngorm Mountain offers great skiing and snow-boarding facilities.
For those who prefer life at a more leisurely pace, the bird and nature watching in the area is excellent.
And if you just want to chill out, Aviemore is a 10 minute drive and has shops, restaurants, swimming pool and a cinema. Landmark Forest Park is a short walk away and Carrbridge has cafes, pub/restaurants and an Artists Studio all within walking distance.

Low Season (November to March) - £540 per week
Mid Season (April, May, June, September, October) - £618 per week
High Season (July, August) - £708 per week
Christmas or New Year - £798 per week

DRIVE - We are 25 minutes south of Inverness and 15 minutes north of Aviemore. If travelling from the north or south via the A9, Carrbridge is well signposted from the road. As you enter the village, take the road beside the old Bridge for the Station.
TRAIN - The Apartment is a 5 minute walk from Carrbridge Train Station, trains call here from Inverness, Glasgow, Edinburgh. Trains from London stop at Aviemore (15 minute drive) and we can pick up from the station if required.
AIR - We are a 40 minute drive from Inverness Airport, airlines include Easyjet and British Airways.
