Sunnydale is a 3 bedroom cottage in the countryside, with an open plan upstairs TV lounge with an electric fire and a double pull out sofa bed across the landing from the master bedroom. Downstairs there are 2 smaller in size single bedrooms, one with an extra pull out bed. The trundle bed mattress is 5ft 8" by 2ft 6 " and is more suited to a child. The bathroom has a bath, toilet and corner shower.
Enjoy the open coal fire in the evening or venture out through the patio doors to the south facing deck and terrace to look over towards Scapa flow in the distance.
From its central island location you are only a short drive away from whatever you decide to explore and visit that day. From beaches, coastal walks to rambles, birdwatching at RSPB hides you will find yourself spoilt for choice.
Explore historic Kirkwall and its 12th century St Magnus Cathedral (tour times ).
Stop for a coffee or meal in one of the cafes or restaurants serving local food and drink.
Find your ideal purchase in one of the many independent shops selling quality goods and crafts.
From the cottage take a walk up Wideford hill to enjoy a panoramic view across the islands.
As you explore keep and eye out for local bird and wildlife, follow the countryside code.

Road
Situated in the group of houses along the old Finstown road at the junction with the Bloomfield road which leads across to Orphir and The Foveran fine dining resturant. On the lower left hand side of the road, Sunnydale is the second house in the group. Two fields past Aurora Jewellery which is on the Craft Trail

Transport
Taking your own car to our islands by one of the ferries or arranging a local rental car is recommended, as Sunnydale although only 2 miles from Kirwall, is in the countryside.
