Newly renovated in 2016, the Lodge is a traditional Highland granite house ideally situated on the High Street and a stones throw from local shops. You will be just steps away from the River Spey and surrounding Caledonian Forest in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park and the start of the world famous Malt Whisky Trail.
Every aspect of this newly renovated lodge has been designed and decorated with your stay in mind. The very comfortable ground floor front dining room is designed with an Austrian style dining table (seats 12 people) and après ski bar area with log burning stove, ideal area for relaxing after a hard day’s holidaying. The dining area leads directly through a small alcove to the spacious kitchen which has an oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and wine fridge—everything needed for the budding chef. The open design of the dining / kitchen area ensures the cook-of-the-evening will not be left out of the fun.
Directly across the hall from the dining area is a cosy lounge with ample soft seating, an open fireplace and large 50” TV—the perfect setting to tuck into a bowl of popcorn and watch your favourite flick with the family.
The first floor is made up of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the master super king-size bedroom has double aspects over looking the rear garden and the High Street. Directly opposite is the family room with a queen-size bed and our truly unique “powder bunks” which are private sleeping pods each equipped with reading light, power for phones or iPods plus their own private TVs and DVD player. Kids LOVE them, but they are full-size beds, so they offer a comfortable private sleep for kids of all ages. Both bedrooms have their own attached bathroom suites.
The second floor is made up of two double bedrooms full of charm and character with sloping roofs and lovely bay windows, these two double bedrooms share a modern bathroom.
The fifth bedroom is located directly above the kitchen to the rear of the house and has a double bed and two more powder bunks (Please note one is only 5ft long—ideal for kids!)
The Whisky Trail Lodge’s courtyard allows for fantastic al fresco evening fun.
