The Grill is one of Aberdeen’s oldest and most famous pubs. Situated on Union Street, in the heart of Aberdeen, it is easy to find.
Its central location means it is surrounded by many of Aberdeen’s favourite restaurants and is only a short walk from His Majesty’s Theatre and the renovated Tivoli Theatre. Directly opposite is Aberdeen Music Hall which hosts a wide range of concerts and shows.
Established as a restaurant in 1870 (hence the name) and virtually unchanged since a refurbishment in 1926, The Grill is listed by CAMRA in their directory of Historic Pub Interiors. Of particular note are the long bar counter and gantry, mahogany veneer panelled walls, the moulded plasterwork ceiling and the unique oxidised-bronze frontage.
We offer a welcoming environment to people of all ages and tastes who simply enjoy a drink and a chat. In addition to a first class range of draught and packed lagers, we offer a selection of cask ales. The Grill was named pub of the year in 2012 by the local CAMRA branch.
The selection of over 500 whiskies on offer is hard to beat and the knowledgeable staff are on hand to guide you to the whisky of your choice. We also have a selection of Whisky Flight suggestions which are always popular.
