Follow the history of travel and transport in the north east of Scotland through dramatic displays, working exhibits and tablet tours.
The Grampian Transport Museum is a living museum of land travel and transport. A visit includes climb aboard vehicle exhibits, extensive use of video and some great temporary exhibitions.
There is also an exciting events programme, where you can experience rides on a road circuit in a wide range of historic and modern vehicles.
We have several new exhibtions for 2021, these include This year’s exhibition includes, ‘The Guy Martin Collection’ featuring his record-breaking transit van and ‘Probing the Future’ which gives an in-depth look at the future of electric and autonomous vehicles. A few old favourites remain, including our Mack Snowplough, Billy Connolly’s Boom Lowrider motortrike and one of our Curator’s favourites, the ex-Grampian Police Rover SD1 Vitesse.
Our Tea Room is also open daily and serves an array of excellent value hot drinks, light lunches and snacks.
