We looking forward to welcoming you to Prestongrange Museum. For over 400 years Prestongrange was a focus of industry. A harbour, glass works, pottery, colliery and brickworks have all left their marks on the landscape including winding gear, a vast brick kiln and a Cornish beam engine. Cradled by woodland the site is now a haven for wildlife where you can explore these monumental relics of Scotland's industrial heritage.
Free to visit all year round, the site comes alive in the summer when the Visitor Centre opens. There is an exhibition about the site and a free audio tour available using headsets borrowed from the Visitor Centre or on your mobile phone. We offer guided tours and our Pithead Canteen Café sells fresh cofffe, tea and light refreshments. You can find accessibility information about the Visitor Centre and the site on the Euan's Guide website. Details of the current programme are available on the events and exhibitions pages and through Facebook and Twitter @PG_Museum. We welcome group visits and would be delighted to discuss your requirements with you.
