The Crafty Creative a fun and exciting creative craft shop located in the Scottish Borders town of Kelso.

We provide a wide variety of interesting and creative crafty kits for all ages . We are particularly proud of the range and selection of creative and crafty kits from the U.K. and around the world.

We are passionate about creativity and believe it is good for the mind, the body and the soul.

At the heart of everything we do is a high level of customer service and great products. We are open Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm. However feel free to use our excellent website should you wish o purchase out with these hours or would prefer click & collect .

I love big brands like Melissa & Doug and Djeco where you know that the imagination and belief that have gone into product development is outstanding . I equally love sourcing new brands like Play Press who have managed to ethically go 100% plastic free and still produce amazing pop out play sets.

I adore creative products that allow a bit of a digital detox particularly the needle felting and embroidery kits produced by  Hawthorn Handmade

I embrace crafty kits that allow children to play independently, learn ( without always realising they are learning) and have fun. I think that Clockwork Soldier is particularly good at “hiding” education within their amazing papercrafts. Art By Box is another beautifully produced product where inspiration and education meet in harmony.

I am not opposed to technology and companies like Fiesta Crafts have used QR codes to link instructions for their crafty kits . I thinks that it's inspirational, linking traditional crafting with modern technology.

For me creativity and crafting is all about positivity and good vibes. Regardless of gender or age, I aim to source products that ensures I stock something for everyone .
